Louella Press
Lovely papers today from Louella Press... They so nicely wrote to me about their letterpress cards and being the paperholic that I am, I couldn't resist sharing them with you. I could look at stationery all day long, it's always been an obsession of mine. When I was a kid I'd burn my weekly allowance money on cards, stickers, notebooks and the collection I was building of Sweet Valley High books. For those who know what the SVH series is all about, I so wanted to hang with those twins.

What do I like about paper goods? Hmmm. I think it's the combination of texture and pattern especially letterpress because it just feels so good. I realized just the other day that I'm a total pattern person. I truly love pattern, from posters to prints to pillows to paper goods. I think that's why I try to keep the foundation pieces in my home solid so that there are more options for me to layer pattern in. I notice I do the same thing in my wardrobe, I own classic solid pieces and layer in pattern and color through blouses and accessories, like shoes, bracelets, and handbags.
Louella Press is another way for me to enjoy pattern and share it with my friends, like all of you. I hope that you like it.

Oh I SO remember being addicted to Sweet Valley High books!
And I just LOVE anything paper-related: stickers, notebooks, stationary - I collect it all! (I just can't bring myself to actually USE any of it yet.)
AH! Sweet Valley High! Jessica and Elizabeth and their crazy antics... ha ha. :)
Wow! I totally forgot about the SVH twins... not only did I want to hang out with them, I wanted to be them... what a blast from the past... and I also wanted to own all the stationery possible when I grew up... which is why I probably have a problem using any of it - cuz then it's gone!!!!
I love mixing patterns together. When you get it right, it really clicks. Pay attention to scale and color and you'll get the hang of it. Layering patterns gives a room a lot of depth.
I loved those books! Remember when Jessica died her hair black? I have always collected stationary and am now learning letterpress so I can make my own. These are lovely!
Love it! I can't get enough of letterpress items.
